Dripping Taps

A dripping tap is normally due to a perished tap washer, which is easy for a plumber to repair. However, problems can occur if the tap is old and has a large limescale build up or if it has been cross threaded in the past.

It is very easy to cross thread taps, especially those made of brass. Sometimes special tools are needed, especially for the old fashioned chrome dome-top taps.

Remember, don't attempt plumbing repairs if you don't have the expertise or the correct tools. Call the professionals - Gifford Plumbing Services.
